Greenscreen holiday project

I felt that me and my partner did a good job considering the amount of time we had to do this in. I felt that we had a good story because our video was a cell phone conversation instead of the new cast or infromational videos that other people did. The images that we chose were good for where we wanted to be filmed at. Like for Eduardo's background we chose a street veiw of a Buddist statue and to create more of a real feel to the video we added in ambient sounds from India which I thought worked well. And my image was a picture of a home during Kwanzaa which created a homey feel to it. My favorite video was Johns and ryans becasue of the amount of creativity and work they put in to it. If we were able to do our video again I would like to add a more in depth story to make it more interesting. I felt I participated equally because I was the one who took out the green screen from both of our videos and I also put in the bcakground and I also did all ofthe major editing. during this project my partned and I helped each other alot we may have had a few disputes but they all got resolved. I feel very proud of this video.

Cyberbullying Video Final

The thing I am most proud of are thr titles becasue I was able put to where a clip could show up as the title dissolved away and made the transitions a lot smoother. Another thing I am most proud of is the music choice because the type of music i found created the overall tone of seriousness for the video. The comment that weremost benificial were the comment from Dr.A. because whe was very percise where theprobles in the video were which help me and my group tune up the videoc better and accurately. The changes we made were better editing of Kenzie's responces so that she wasnt cut off at the end or beggining of her sentences. We also changed the grammer in our titles and the added the bibliography at the end of the video. If I had extra time I would like to be able to record more authority figures so that the video has more of a professional opinion. And re-edit the spund through out the whole video. If i had a chance to redo the whole video I would take all of the opprotunities to record the teachers and staff of the school. But other than that I wouldnt change a thing. I learned that there is a lot of hard work put into two mineute videos. Just making htis two mineute video took a little over 2 months and i can only imagine how long it really take to createe a full length film. But I also learned through long tedious project you get to learn alot bout your fellow group mates. This isn't just a project to know about cyberbullying but also is a sort of get together that allowed to know people better and their veiws on life.

GreenScreen workshop

A Greenscreen is just a green cloth that is edited out in soft ware so that the subject aprears to be some where they aren't. When working with a greenscreen is is important to have proper lighting and make sure there arent any wrinkles in the green cloth. If there are wrinkles in the greenscreen then it is very difficult to edit them out because the shade of green is much darker thatn the majority of the greenscreen. The best way to eliminate the green screen completley is through Adobe agter effects becasue it more percise when it comes to eliminating any green

The five things I learned from this vidoe

This video was one of my favorite videos. It had alot of comic relief such as the music and the clips. I learned many things from this video. I learned how to put a music clip and line it up with a video so that the beat starts when the video starts like when Jose sent the text and the beat started when the camerea zoomed in all the way on his phone. I also learned that a video with alot of students participating is effective like when Josh asked the question about cyberbullying instead of a title asking the question. I also learned that a title leading into the beging of a video is vwery effective in grabbing the audences attention and makes them focus. Also having titles about statictics are effective instead of have a person saying it so that it gives the audiance time to read the statistic. One more thing i learned is that having the members in the group say things about the topic like when Taylor saud that cyberbullying is all across the world and when jose said that form spring and facebook are websites that cyber bullying happens on the most.

Cyberbullying Video Project

In this project we were going for fast heavy hitting facts that create a deep thought process about cyber bullying and the places it takes place at.
We are most proud of the titles transions into the respected videos. we would like feedback on the music and titles.

Block 2 Jake Baxter lifting and extacting workshop

A simple cut in the timeline means a lift. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline extract.
A ripple edit is when you delet some thing at the other clips move in to fill the gap. You do this by selecting an in and out point for a clip and right clicking then selecting ripple delete. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clipmove in to close the gap.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut two clips at one time. To do this, you select the in and out points that include the two clips in the timeline then so up to the project panel and select the lifting or extract button.
Lifting is like cutting, while extracting is like ripple delete, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of an extract edit. I decided to extract the two clips where I did because it shows that it is a compitions I gave an intro of one rider and their jump then an intro of the other rider and his jump.

Overlay edited video

This is an example of an overlay edit. An overr edit places a clip on top of another clip. To do this, you drag the second clip on top of the first clip at the desired time. I decided to overlay the 2nd clip where I did because it gives an illusion that an older sibling is proud of the rider for jumping over the bar.


The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is that an oveer lay edit is puting a vieod on top of another viideo and doesnt chnage the time. An indert edited videoo is putting a video inbetween another video and extend the time..
You would use an overlay whenshowing a progresive video, while you’d use an insert edit when creating a montage. In this case the overlay edit works better becausethis is a progressive video

Insert edited video

This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit places a clip inbetween another clip. To do this, you set your desired in and out points then take the first video and hold down the control button so that arows show up on the control panel and drag the first clip apart then take the second clip at the desired time. I decided to insert the 2nd clip where I did because is shows that the rider feels accomplished for going over the jump.

Project 2 reflection

My Premire Pro skills have improved significantly. I did a good job of putting in my personality and creativeness in the video. I should of re-edited most of the clips so that I could of used them in the video. When me and my partner previewed the video we found many messy editing skills so we had to delete them. On my next video I need to remember to have cleaner in and out points. My partner helped me asses the errors in the video. On this project I gained a better idea how to edit better and put in creative titles.

My Intorduction

This is my introduction for my class. I felt that I did a good job introducing my self and my favorite part about SBHS. the process i liked the way it looked. i would like to improve my eye contact with the camera. the processe was very tedious and itricute. I had to export it twice and that was very frusterating.

Patience

The message of this video was patience and self-control. The actions that communicate this message is the cement layers expression when he sees the little boy walking in the wet cement. His face goes from surprise to appointment to anger then kindness all in one second. The lighting and setting help convey the message in easy to understand way. The brightness created a mid-day type of light and was perfect for the child to why the little schoolboy was walking by himself that day.

My group really liked the courtesy video which was portrayed in the "Cafeteria" video. It applies to many aspects of the average high school life because it could be applied to friendship school work or even a a cafeteria.
